Fair Park has a four minute offense that could have been a seven minute offense and in the fourth quarter, just wore Minden out."
They don't throw the ball very much, but when they do, they are effective. CJ Thomas caught all 5 passes rocketed his way. They have a strong, healthy relationship with their coach, Mike Greene, who they showered in Gatorade celebrating after their win.
Coach Mike Greene: I feel like High T Timmy! Haven't had a Gatorade Shier in a while- we are having a good time, having fun! I'm so proud of them. CJ Thomas made some unbelievable catches, Josh Picket, Darius Coleman, you can't have winning games unless you have 11 guys on the field playing well. From where we came from, we kept playing hard, we had 34 dressed out including freshman. We used to struggle to have a crowd, but not tonight! We had to bring a bus to get them all here tonight, band was cranking, the students are excited! This has rejuvenated me. I'm teaching the kids also and just not taking some things so seriously. Better perspective on life.

Competitive for the 1st half, Shreve's defense played well, offense did not and special teams did not preform up to their usual standard either. Ruston blocked punt recovered in end zone, blocked another punt quickly turned that into TD. Shreve had 102 yards offense. Shreve switched QB in 4th quarter. Coach Lary has to figure out what to do about receivers. They bought a $3000 machine to spit out ball for players to practice. No one has an excuse not to practice catching, but so far not seeing production.

Coach Bo Meeks: At halftime told the guys I was proud of how physical they were playing. We had a couple of turnovers that hurt us, but the kids and coaches did a great job. Assistant coaches put in a lot of preparation for this game. Changed up positions and schemes. We battled defensively and played great up front. We want to be playing in the quarter finals during Thanksgiving. Neville prepared us with a physical challenge and speed.

Coach Jim Gatlin: Glad to talk to you guys, got my phone back! I don't even know what the score was, I just know we were out there playi g. He is 15 years old- he's our Johnny Football, he can run, he's coachable, versatile, he never complains, moves to different positions well. We have great receivers, and he throws such a catchable ball. We were tough on offense, but we haven't had a team line us up and pound us up the middle like North Desoto did tonight. You win a game, scoring with less than a minute... You come to the locker room and its silent. Even the chicken eaters are quiet, because they see the players are quiet. Everyone is exhausted. We pulled a rabbit out of a hat.
This group is special, I said a little prayer before the game, Dear Lord Im thankful for getting to coach with this staff and these kids.
